Clerk to Governors – Red Kite Learning Trust

Our Trust is a growing family of 13 schools in Harrogate and Leeds. As a Clerk for Red Kite Learning Trust, you will work closely under the expert guidance of our Compliance and Governance Lead, to facilitate the meetings, procedures and membership of one or more of the Local Governing Bodies. You will be provided with all the required training to fulfil this unique role for our Trust.
Our LGB meetings are typically held in the early evenings, although some occasionally fall earlier in the day with an approximate start time of 4pm. Each meeting is allocated up to 5 hours which includes meeting preparation, meeting attendance and post meeting admin, to ensure a quality service and manageable workload for each school. The hours for preparation and post meeting admin can be worked flexibly at a location which works best for you - at home, in one of the schools or at the Red Kite Learning Trust offices in Harrogate.

Responsibilities
* Facilitate Local Governing Body meetings and manage meeting procedures and membership under the guidance of the Compliance and Governance Lead.
* Coordinate meeting schedules, prepare agendas, take minutes, and support post-meeting administration.
* Support training and ensure compliance with governance processes across one or more LGBs.
Qualifications and skills
* Excellent skills in supporting meetings and minute taking, strong communication and IT skills.
* Confidence to work with a wide range of professionals.
