Job Overview
This role involves overseeing the maintenance of a hotel environment to ensure optimal functionality, presentation, and safety.
Main Responsibilities
* Plan and coordinate all major and minor repair works in compliance with current health and safety legislation.
* Oversee external contractors and service providers to guarantee value for money.
* Maintain equipment and systems including HVAC, plumbing, lighting, and electrical infrastructure.
* Coordinate painting, decoration, and upkeep of hotel areas, guest rooms, public spaces, kitchens, and back-of-house.
* Supervise preventative and reactive maintenance tasks such as painting, tiling, plumbing, carpentry, and electrical work.
* Ensure cleanliness and order in external and back areas.
* Guarantee timely completion of maintenance requests and repairs.
Requirements
* Experience working in a hotel or similar environment within a Maintenance Department.
* Maintenance Manager or supervisory experience preferred.
* Qualifications in one or more trades such as plumbing, electrical work, or construction are desirable.
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
* Full-time availability and flexibility to work varied shifts, weekends, and holidays.
* Excellent English communication skills.
* Knowledge of health & safety and compliance standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
A qualification in a trade such as plumbing, electrical work, or construction is highly beneficial for this position.
