The Clinical Nurse Specialist will provide specialized nursing support to patients undergoing withdrawal from drugs and alcohol. This involves assessment of clinical presentation, guidance/administration of medications under consultant supervision, monitoring patient safety and supporting recovery through compassionate care.
This CNS role will also provide expert clinical intervention for patients whose health is affected by drug and alcohol misuse, promote evidence-based assessment treatment and aftercare planning across inpatient and outpatient settings and support improved outcomes through early identification, brief intervention and multidisciplinary care coordination.
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated nurse who can provide leadership, education and support for ward-based clinicians around presentations related to harmful substance misuse.
