Overview
An established and respected Tier One main contractor with a long-standing reputation for delivering complex public and commercial projects across Ireland is seeking a Site Manager for a landmark government development in Clonmel, Co. Tipperary.
This is a key opportunity to join one of Ireland’s most experienced and trusted building contractors, known for its consistent delivery of high-quality, large-scale projects across multiple sectors.
Role Summary
The Site Manager will have full responsibility for the day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring delivery on programme, budget, and quality objectives. This role requires strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills to manage teams, subcontractors, and client interfaces effectively.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee all on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
* Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel to deliver work safely and efficiently.
* Coordinate with design, engineering, and project management teams to resolve technical and logistical challenges.
* Ensure project milestones and quality targets are achieved on time and within budget.
* Maintain accurate site records, progress reports, and quality documentation.
* Uphold and promote health, safety, and environmental excellence across the site.
Ideal Candidate
* Proven experience as a Site Manager on large-scale or public sector building projects.
* Background with a main contractor is preferred, though not essential.
* Relevant qualification in construction management, engineering, or a related discipline.
* Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
* Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently.
* Demonstrated career longevity and stability in previous roles.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, MS Project, and related software.
