Packaging Line Lead Job Description
This is a dynamic leadership role responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a packaging line, ensuring efficiency and compliance with industry standards.
The Packaging Line Lead will provide leadership and support to a team of 6 packaging technicians, prioritizing workflow and delegating tasks as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
* Act as shift lead to a team of 6 packaging technicians on a newly established packaging line.
* Provide Leadership and support to the Packaging Team ensuring they can operate to optimum efficiency and in compliance with industry standards.
* Manage Packaging Personnel, organizing and prioritizing workflow and assign daily tasks as required.
* Provide regular hands-on guidance to team members.
* Monitor team performance and ensure timely reviews and one-to-one conversations are facilitated.
* Monitor time and attendance of team members.
* Oversee day-to-day operation while delegating tasks as appropriate.
* Promote continuous improvement strategies.
* Support and promote recognition of the team and instil a positive team environment with open communication.
* Participate in the development of training plans.
* Responsible for metric reporting, status updates, and escalating any issues to management.
* Monitor and maintain Packaging KPI's.
* Ensure adherence to all policies and procedures.
* Responsible for packaging of customer products.
* Complies with all safety-related procedures and practices.
* Other duties as requested.
Required Skills and Qualifications
This role requires:
* GMP experience and previous packaging experience.
* Previous Team Lead experience desirable.
* Demonstrate familiarity with written Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Master Batch Records.
* Excellent written and spoken communication skills with established interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
* Demonstrates ability to follow direction and work with only moderate supervision.
* Proven attention to detail.
* A can-do attitude towards delivery and performance.
* Demonstrated leadership skills.
