Summary:An EHS Project Lead is required for a biopharma company in Waterford to provide EHS support across CAPEX projects onsite. The successful candidate will ensure that EHS requirements are integrated into project planning, design, and execution, supporting the safe and compliant delivery of capital investment initiatives.Responsibilities:Provide EHS guidance and oversight across projects and operational activities.Ensure that all personnel, contractors, and vendors involved in projects receive appropriate EHS induction and ongoing training.Support the implementation and continuous improvement of EHS management systems, policies, objectives, and procedures.Conduct risk assessments for project and site activities, ensuring control measures are implemented and maintained.Ensure compliance with Environmental, Health & Safety legislation, regulations, and corporate standards.Maintain EHS records, statistics, and reporting for site activities.Support the development and coordination of emergency response procedures.Coordinate and facilitate EHS and functional meetings, ensuring proactive communication across teams.Support incident investigations as required and implement learnings to prevent recurrence.Liaise with client EHS teams, management, vendors, and contractors to ensure alignment on EHS expectations.Conduct audits and inspections to verify that EHS requirements are embedded throughout projects and operations.Qualifications & Experience:Third-level qualification in Occupational Safety/Health, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.Minimum 8 years' experience in EHS leadership within the pharmaceutical or regulated industry.Experience supporting projects and operational initiatives in a regulated environment.Strong knowledge of ISO management systems, including ISO Occupational Health & Safety) and ISO Environmental Management).Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
