Exciting opportunity for a funds professional to join the global Onboarding team at Carne Group.
Minimum requirements
* 5-7 years' experience working in a fund onboarding, fund implementation or CRM role in the funds industry
* Fluency in English is essential; other languages (e.g., French, German or Mandarin) are advantageous
* Strong experience with client and management interaction
* Good knowledge of UCITS and AIF fund structures
* Understanding of management company structures is advantageous
Role and responsibilities
* Ensure proper and adequate procedures are in place to onboard Funds in a timely and risk-controlled manner
* Tailor project plans to the relevant Fund structure, maintain and track progress through the project plan
* Ensure effective communication with all relevant internal functions in relation to onboarding (Legal, Finance, Risk, Compliance, Operations, etc.)
* Ensure initial due diligence on delegates is performed and liaise with the Oversight team to complete in a timely manner
* Present new clients to the Approval Committee and Management Company board (where required) for approval and resolve queries to support final sign-off
* Coordinate weekly project calls, manage deliverables and ensure closure of action points
* Contribute to the development and enhancement of onboarding processes
* Utilise knowledge of Carne products and identify cross-selling opportunities during onboarding
* Coordinate client on-site visits to Carne during the onboarding phase where relevant
* Coordinate operational implementation with delegates (Administrator/Depositary, Investment Manager and Distributor); ensure SLAs and processes are agreed before launch and signed off by internal departments
* Coordinate operational implementation within Carne teams
* Stay up to date with regulatory changes impacting Fund/Management Company/AIFM structures and assist in developing new procedures
* Inform global onboarding team of local regulatory changes or process updates that could impact client onboarding
* Participate in training of new team members as required
