About the Role
We're seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join a busy and growing Production Engineering team in Limerick. This is a hands-on, office-based role with a strong technical focus and customer-facing responsibilities. You'll take ownership of key accounts, deliver cost-effective engineering solutions, and manage projects from concept through to delivery.
What You'll Do
4. Collaborate with customers, engineers, suppliers, and in-house teams
5. Interpret and develop 2D/3D technical drawings (AutoCAD / SolidWorks)
6. Plan and schedule production aligned with customer needs
7. Troubleshoot daily issues and drive process improvements
8. Manage customer accounts and identify new opportunities
9. Maintain accurate project documentation and track KPIs using ERP/MES systems
10. Support quoting with material selection and time/cost estimates
What We're Looking For
11. Level 8 Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Precision Engineering
12. Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar engineering environment
13. Strong ability to read and create detailed technical drawings
14. Proficiency in SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD
15. Strong mechanical reasoning and customer interaction skills
16. Organised, detail-focused, and proactive communicator
17. Experience in stainless steel fabrication or precision profiling is a bonus
