ROLE OVERVIEW:
The PGA Teaching Professional will be a crucial role within the Druids Glen service model. The Teaching Professional will develop and execute group and individual tuition for members and guests of the club. They will be responsible for all on-site tuition and support the development of the club team, daily standards, and management of the coaching facility.
Generates knowledge and interest in golf among stakeholders, educational institutions, sporting organizations, and other parties in line with the Club's vision.
Implements departmental Standards and Operating Procedures for Golf Coaching.
Operationally responsible for managing the Coaching facility and personal lesson diary.
KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategy & Planning
* Formulates clear personal and operational objectives aligned with the Club's Vision and Mission.
* Champions strategies that encourage Druids Glen members, guests, and junior golfers.
* Plans time management to balance quality client service and departmental profitability.
Operational Excellence
* Implements policies and procedures within projects.
* Participates in training to reinforce departmental standards.
* Prepares operational and CAPEX budgets and forecasts, sharing expectations with the team.
* Manages coaching staff to maximize productivity while maintaining service quality.
* Coordinates and operates the club's coaching programs/services.
* Recommends equipment and supplies to uphold standards.
* Attends regular performance meetings.
* Communicates effectively with suppliers, stakeholders, and management.
* Works closely with Golf Operations to achieve goals.
* Recommends and implements marketing initiatives.
* Ensures health, safety, and security standards are maintained.
Reporting & Monitoring
* Reviews and presents coaching performance during monthly meetings.
* Monitors training reports and identifies improvement opportunities.
* Uses feedback from guest surveys for continuous improvement.
* Tracks financial performance against budgets.
* Increases coaching volume and achieves milestones in the business plan.
The job holder should be highly visible, accessible, and uphold high standards of ethics and integrity.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Industry qualification from a recognized PGA or similar body.
* University or higher education qualification.
* At least 5 years of recognized golf instruction experience.
* Advanced professional accreditation preferred (AA, TPI, CPD courses).

Druids Glen golf course is renowned as one of Ireland's finest parkland courses, designed by Pat Ruddy and Tom Craddock.
