Senior Management Accountant Role: Overview
The Senior Management Accountant is a key position within the finance team, responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial accounting numbers on a daily, monthly and annual basis. This role requires strong leadership skills to drive timely and accurate presentation of monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the finance team in preparing monthly lead schedules for accruals, prepayments, intercompany, key nominal accounts and the fixed asset register.
* Review and reconcile financial statements, and prepare audit files for external auditors.
* Identify opportunities for reporting improvements and drive change across the business.
* Develop and specify exception reporting requirements, and support the rollout across the company.
* Collaborate with the commercial team to identify cost savings and margin improvements.
* Oversee project pricing and procurement processes.
* Manage cashflow and report on financial performance.
