Overview
Assistant to the President ProAmpac Europe — remote role based anywhere within Ireland with regular travel to ProAmpac sites in Wicklow and Donegal. Responsible for the management of new and existing accounts, ensuring budgets are achieved and opportunities for growth are satisfied.
Responsibilities
* Meet sales targets set by the Sales Director and ensure customer requirements are communicated and adhered to.
* Identify opportunities for new packaging formats and liaise with sales and technical teams to develop new products.
* Establish and maintain approvals with retailers associated with named house accounts, working with the Sales Director to identify new business opportunities.
* Lead account development and penetration strategy for assigned customers or regions; build and maintain relationships; provide exceptional customer service.
* Develop and maintain relationships with clients; resolve conflicts and provide timely solutions.
* Maintain regular contact with customers in the UK and European regions and troubleshoot as required.
* Provide and share marketing, sales, and product information with existing/potential customers via telephone, email, post, or in person.
* Act as a liaison between the sales and technical teams with a solid understanding of production processes for relevant accounts.
* Identify and target business development opportunities in home and export markets; visit customers to present and secure business.
* Negotiate new price structures for new and existing customers.
* Work with the Sales Director to forecast customer spend and prepare budgeting information; investigate shortfalls in expenditures.
* Liaise with Internal Sales Manager and team to ensure customer deadlines and requirements are met.
* Prepare internal documentation and reports as required by the Sales Director; work as part of a team and share information.
* Undertake Hygiene, Quality and Environmental responsibilities to meet and exceed company standards; maintain safe working systems and report deviations as needed.
* Adhere to government and company Equal Opportunities Policy and Environmental, Health & Safety policies and report deviations.
* Be flexible in duties; may be asked to perform other duties commensurate with the role.
* Ability to travel across the UK and Europe as required; self-motivated; assertive and self-confident.
* Professional written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills; able to facilitate group meetings and maintain a professional appearance.
* Maintain confidentiality and discretion.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred, specifically within Packaging or FMCG.
* Understanding of sales performance metrics.
* Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office suite.
