We at the Mardyke Entertainment Complex are looking for a full time reception and leisure assistant that has mastered the skill of multitasking has a keen eye for detail and who truly cares about our customers and giving them the best experience possible.
The Mardyke Entertainment Complex is Cork's ultimate entertainment venue that has everything you need for the perfect night out. 19 full-size American pool tables, snooker, ping pong, karaoke, bowling, sociable darts, supercharged shuffle board with a sports bar and retro arcade thrown in for good measure, we pride ourselves on being a welcoming, inclusive and unique venue for any event.
This role requires a mixture of day and evening work including weekends.
The position involves a high degree of computer usage along with online and offline booking and reservation systems so you would need to be competently and confidently computer literate.
Applicants need to be fluent in English language (both written and spoken), comfortable to manage all enquiries by phone, email, and confident in their ability to deliver the highest standard of customer service and drive sales.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:· Answer enquiries by phone, email and in person to deliver the highest standard of customer service and drive sales.
· Operating the switch board and directing calls in a positive and professional manner.
· Operating several different booking systems.
· Completing food and functions sheets for the weeks bookings.
· Organizing bookings requirements in advance for the functions team.
· Greeting customers and setting them up on games.
· Ensuring cleanliness of reception and the leisure areas when on duty.
· Maintaining leisure supplies.
· Keeping up-to-date on events, products, services and policies throughout several venues.

* A flawless eye for detail and the drive to go above and beyond for every customer.
* Have an infectiously positive attitude and a cool head when problem solving.
* Experienced in working in a fast paced environment
* Have a minimum of 1 years experience in a similar role
* Be legally allowed to work full-time in Ireland
* Be legally allowed to work in a licensed premises (+18 years old)
