Our model gives brokers instant access to sharp, responsive underwriting teams who deliver tailored solutions without the red tape.About the roleThis is a full-time position for a Cross Class Underwriter based in Ireland to join our EEA underwriting team. The role is required to support multiple MGAs in the placement of business on Mission Underwriting Europe Limited (MUEL) platform. This will include managing portfolios, pricing and underwriting risks across multiple classes of insurance.Key ResponsibilitiesUnderwrite new and renewal business across multiple class of insurance.Analyse claims information, financial information and apply underwriting controls.Process the risk on different placing platforms.Provide market insights and quick technical support to our MGAs.Maintain accurate documentation, files notes and underwriting records.Develop and maintain strong relationships with the MGAs, support teams and the brokers.Follow underwriting and regulatory guidelines, company policies and MUEL's licensing capabilities.Support other teams and business functions and maintain efficient workflow.Contributing and ensuring alignment to the company's goals and objectives.Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to take on different roles and responsibilities as required by the company.Experience RequirementsEssential professional qualifications such as APA, CIP or ACII. Must meet the Central Bank of Ireland's Minimum Competency Requirements.5+ years' experience in insurance underwriting.Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational and technical skills.Ability to multitask, prioritize work and meet deadlines.Proactive, adaptable with problem-solving and critical-thinking skills and attention to detail.Proficiency with digital tools and remote collaboration technologiesThis may be a Controlled Function role under the Central Bank of Ireland's Fitness & Probity Standards ('CBI Standards'). If you are offered this role and accept the offer, prior to the appointment, you will be required to agree to abide by the CBI Standards and complete a Fitness & Probity Self-Certification form. Due diligence checks will also be performed in line with the CBI StandardsAdditional Information This is a remote position.
