We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic individuals to support individuals with an intellectual disability.
The role involves supporting individuals to become connected and valued within their local community, providing opportunities for new experiences and assisting each person in developing real and authentic relationships.
* Supporting individuals to develop valued social roles
* Experience in supporting individuals with communication needs and those who may display challenging behaviours
* Person-centred planning and knowledge of individualised support approaches
Key Responsibilities
Social Care Workers/Support Workers will:
* Develop strategies to support individuals in achieving their goals and aspirations
* Provide emotional support and guidance to individuals with complex needs
* Work collaboratively with other professionals to ensure high-quality care and support
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Be registered on the live register of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland
* Hold a relevant recognised Diploma in Social Care / Applied Social Studies in Social Care (Level 7 on National Framework of Qualifications)
* FETAC/QQI level 5 Major Award in Healthcare Support/Health Service Skills or willingness to complete
