Summary
This document sets out the key Roles and Responsibilities of the Business Development Executive. The flexibility of employees is fundamental to the continuing progress of Glanway. Glanway will ultimately decide on its needs in this area and employee cooperation is essential and expected.
The goal for the Business Development Executive is to identify, contact and build long term sustainable relationships between Glanway and all of its current and potential future Clients for our Recyclables. As well as support the sampling of recyclables and wastes in the plant to support Quality Control and support and lead specific projects identified to grow and improve the business.
Below is a list of some of the other key duties and responsibilities:
* Booking & scheduling containers, curtainsiders, shipping, etc. including updating shipping schedule & logistic schedule weekly and updating Operations Team at Weekly Logistics Meeting. Also ensuring all necessary TFS documentation in place.
* Source all waste coming into Glanway, attend meetings and conferences across Ireland, visiting sites and gathering feedback.
* Source new customers for Materials going out and manage existing customers. Attend conferences in Europe and network regarding this.
* Logistics – Monitor and manage logistics into and out of the Glanway facility ensuring Glanway has all haulier details and introduction has been made to Glanway EHS Officer. Also ensure loads out have correct documentation, timely pick-ups and ensure the Operations Team have been informed in a timely manner in order to organise loading.
* Working with the Senior team members to identify and manage company risks that might prevent the growth as well as on specific projects to support Glanway growth plans.
* Liaise with Glanway export and domestic customers to get their feedback on our products and delivery in order to continuously improve.
* Develop commercial & marketing strategy in particular around developing key external stakeholder relationships to promote, maintain and grow Glanway Ltd. business.
* Lead generation for new recycling and export outlets through research & existing company contacts, industry and professional networking and through marketing campaigns.
* Delivering superior sales presentations - both live and via web, delivering flaw-free material and detailed proposals on or before deadlines and contributing to the team sales strategies, campaigns and execution.
* Raising the profile of Glanway Ltd through website, LinkedIn as well as attending and speaking at seminars and conferences, organising networking events with clients and prospective clients and providing direction to the management team.
* Attendance at relevant trade shows in order to meet existing customers and new prospects.
* Work within your team to assess target markets, identify & profile potential prospects and gather intelligence on customers and competitors.
* Maintaining meaningful relationships with existing clients to ensure that they are retained.
