Mulligans Pharmacy is a family-run business, established in ****, that operates in the retail pharmacy sector, and occupies 19 sites across the south east of Ireland.
This has been delivered through organic growth and acquisitions.
We currently employ over 280 staff in Waterford, Kilkenny, and Tipperary.
We are currently recruiting for an Accounts Administrator with Payroll in our head office at South Parade, Waterford City.
The role offers 40 hours per week between Monday and Friday.
Reporting to : Financial Controller Benefits: Staff discount, long-term Term Service holiday entitlements, career development, and training opportunities.
Role: Working in a busy office as a part of a team, this is a central role in the accounts and office administration function.
You will be responsible for ensuring that the accounting function runs smoothly, that tasks are completed within the timeframes required for the production of management accounts, that debtor, creditor, and bank accounts are properly maintained, and that good communication channels are maintained with other support departments and all store branches.
Main Duties and Responsibilities: Supervising administering accounts payable and supplier payments Administration of Company Bank accounts Management of Customer Debtor accounts Processing of Month End Journals HSE Claims Preparation of Quarterly VAT Returns and Intrastat Returns Administration of Pleo Petty Cash cards for all stores Ad hoc duties for Managers directors, as requested Weekly Payroll (Sage) SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Experience of working in a commercially driven accounts department is essential Understanding of the monthly and quarterly accounting cycle is beneficial.
Computer literacy (MS Excel, Word, Outlook) and strong analytical skills The ability to pay strong attention to detail and strong administrative capabilities Excellent interpersonal skills, including a good telephone manner and working as part of a team Good organisational skills with a proven ability to prioritise tasks problem-solve Display personal commitment, effort, motivation and initiative in all business dealings Previous experience of SAGE 50 Accounting software will be a strong advantage Familiarity with Pleo cards, SmartOffice Invoice processing, Bank of Ireland online banking, and/or Sage Micropay will be beneficial Experience in payroll administration and processing.
