About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Resident Engineer – MEICA with at least 7 years of experience in a similar role. This role provides an exciting opportunity to play a vital role within the site supervision team on Water and Wastewater infrastructure projects in a rapidly growing established Irish‑owned company where efficient procedures and processes, in an ever‑changing business environment, are a must. The successful candidate will work with the project team to ensure the highest quality and standards are achieved in all activities and services provided to clients.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Project Resident Engineer and Employer’s Representative.
Liaison with the Site Supervision Teams on each Contract.
Deal with contractual matters on‑site related to MEICA works.
Assess contractor claims and write reports.
Assess contractor payment applications against completed work.
Assess contractor performance against contractual KPIs.
Assess contractor submissions including method statements and prepare clear comments.
Review contractor MEICA design submissions including equipment details against client requirements and prepare clear comments.
Supervise works, keep records, measure, manage correspondence and contractual documentation.
Monitor the commissioning of the works and process proving.
Other duties as may be assigned.
Key Requirements
Primary degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or relevant discipline.
7 to 10 years of relevant experience in major engineering projects.
Strong knowledge of the water industry preferred.
Familiarity with industry‑standard contract forms.
Experience in the design, installation, and commissioning of MEICA infrastructure.
Expertise with P&IDs, electrical wiring diagrams, control philosophy, and factory/site acceptance testing.
Awareness of health & safety and welfare at work requirements during construction and operation.
