My client, based in the Limerick area, is hiring anEHS Manager (2-year fixed-term) to drive growth and expansion. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing high standards of environmental, health, safety, and quality (HSEQ) performance, working closely with teams across multiple sites to ensure best practices are met and supporting the delivery of strategic objectives.
Main responsibilities include:
Oversee HSEQ across all sites
Manage ISO certifications and audits
Organise health and safety training; maintain training matrix
Develop monthly safety alerts/toolbox talks
Arrange PPE for high-risk tasks
Ensure compliance through audits and documentation
Train employees in EHS procedures and chemical handling
Conduct COSHH assessments
Investigate and report accidents/incidents/near misses
Implement zero harm reporting and manage data
Create SOPs and work with Client EHS teams
Perform site audit inspections
Assist in risk assessments and method statements
Support waste management in line with regulations and vendors
Analyse monthly EHS statistics for board reports
Liaise with regulators (HSA, EPA, local councils)
Promote accountability and collaboration in safety and environment
Manage budgets and seek cost efficiencies
The ideal candidate will have the following:
Possession of a degree or higher diploma in Health and Safety
Minimum of 2.5 years’ experience in a customer-focused environment
Proficient knowledge of ISO14001, ISO45001, and ISO9001 management systems
Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and proactive approach
Current IOSH membership (or equivalent, or actively pursuing)
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Holder of a full, clean driving licence with access to own vehicle
Willingness and ability to travel as required
Experience conducting audits within HSEQ management systems
