Fuel Supply Chain Technical Engineer I have a super new role for a Fuel Supply Chain Technical Engineer for a complex, safety critical environment. This is a technical leadership role with responsibility for fuel storage and distribution infrastructure across multiple sites in Ireland Role Purpose Lead all technical aspects of fuel storage and distribution installations. Own refurbishment programmes from design through to delivery. Ensure infrastructure is maintained to industry standard. Manage contractor performance, safety and compliance. Act as the key technical point of contact with regulators and external bodies. Your Key Responsibilities:- Technical and Operational Manage all fuel storage and distribution installations across multiple locations. Maintain integrity of tanks, pipework, bunds, interceptors and intake systems. Define scopes of work for maintenance, inspections and refurbishment. Oversee engineering change and ensure standards are met. Support procurement activity and contract awards. Projects and Delivery Lead fuel infrastructure refurbishment projects. Oversee delivery from design through to implementation. Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget. Contractor and Stakeholder Management Manage third party contractors on site. Track performance against contractual commitments. Engage with regulators and external stakeholders including safety authorities and emergency services. Health and Safety Own safety across all fuel storage and distribution activities. Ensure full compliance with legislation and licensing requirements. Maintain oversight of Seveso obligations for bulk fuel sites. Reporting and Governance Track maintenance activity and inspection routines. Monitor and report on spend against budget. Produce regular performance and safety reports. Ensure maintenance records are accurate and complete. Experience Required - Essential Minimum 5 years experience in fuel, biofuel or bulk liquid storage, handling or transportation. Strong background in site management and project delivery. Proven responsibility for health and safety in large scale environments. Experience managing contractors and technical suppliers. Strong understanding of petroleum industry standards. Degree qualified in engineering or equivalent experience. Clear communication skills. Strong analytical capability. Desirable Knowledge of oil industry operations at national or international level. Experience managing budgets and planning programmes. Familiarity with maintenance tracking systems. You will be able to:- Operate with strong technical judgement. Balance safety, cost and delivery. Challenge poor standards. Engage stakeholders with authority. Deliver measurable outcomes across infrastructure and risk. Performance Measures Delivery against contract requirements.
