CAD Technician – Specialist Architectural Joinery
Location: Longford (or remote/hybrid, based on company preference) Salary: €45,000 – €55,000 per annum (Negotiable based on experience)
The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CAD Technician to join our in-house design and scheduling team. You will be essential in translating design concepts and architectural drawings into accurate, detailed manufacturing and installation plans for our skilled craftsmen.
Responsibilities
* Produce detailed manufacturing and setting-out drawings for complex, bespoke joinery items (e.g., reception desks, wall panelling, cabinetry, specialised fit-outs) using AutoCAD or relevant 3D software.
* Work closely with Project Managers, the Workshop Foreman, and external Architects/Designers to ensure drawings meet all technical specifications and standards.
* Create accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) and cutting lists for the workshop production team.
* Ensure all drawings adhere to required tolerances, quality standards, and relevant building regulations.
Candidate Requirements
* A minimum of 2-3 years of professional experience as a CAD Technician or Draughtsperson, ideally within the architectural joinery, fit-out, or construction industry.
* High proficiency in AutoCAD 2D is essential; experience with 3D software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor) is a distinct advantage.
* Strong understanding of woodworking processes, cabinet construction, joinery techniques, and material properties.
* Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational and communication skills.
