About the role: The Project Manager Technical Lead will be a key member of the PMO team who oversees and manages the team responsible for the various technical aspects of the ERP Project and future technical projects. The role holder will have responsibility for ensuring data migration, business intelligence (BI) development, infrastructure, interfaces, and market interaction technologies are fit for purpose. The role holder is required to have a background in project management and technical leadership with a sound understanding of data management principles. Key Responsibilities: Project Management: Work within the Project PMO team to support the management of the Project delivery. Report to the Project Director for the duration of the ERP implementation Responsible for overseeing the technical delivery for the programme (Infrastructure, Data Migration, BI and Interfaces and any other technical streams which may arise throughout the rollout). Define roles and responsibilities of the team and determine clear deliverables including setting project specific and realistic goals and objectives. Develop a motivational impact on team and cohesion with project team sharing single goal and being part of a single larger team. Build out technical project plans, assumptions, schedules, deliverables, milestones. Lead the IT workstreams team leads to coordinate and schedule resources ensuring that we are meeting projects deadlines and deliverables. Monitor progress of technical work tracks and provide regular scheduled project status and planned against actual tracking reports and presentations. Maintain project RAID Log for all workstreams under responsibility as part of overall project PMO management of risks and issues. Ensure full transparency of all technical scope, delivery status and resource assignment Develop risk mitigation strategies to manage project risks. Ensure Project Change Management and Quality Assurance standards are met. Work closely with test lead during relevant phases of project ensuring technical team interface with the defect and test cycle works well and facilities identified and quick turn around of issues. Technical capabilities: Have strong technical background with ability to understand, learn and communicate with technical experts. Good architecture and infrastructure knowledge necessary for understanding and managing the technical streams within the wider technical landscape/tech stack. Defines the technical workstream objectives/timelines and ensures progress to plan, as well as tracking critical project achievements. Collaborate with technical team to oversee the design and implementation data migration strategies, BI solutions, infrastructure enhancements, interface integrations, and market interaction technologies. Bridge the gap between business and technical team through excellent communication and technical awareness. Ensure scope of data migration is clearly articulated, managed, tracked with roles and responsibilities of team clearly understood. Working knowledge of MS dynamics and associated architecture and application is a significant advantage. Ability to become intimately knowledgeable about the ERP technology and technical approach (between teams and SW vendor) Although primarily managerial the role does at times require getting involved at a deeper delivery level depending on issues, risks and current phase of programme. Candidate Profile: (Minimum Experience & Essential Knowledge) Relevant degree in the fields of IT Project Management / PRINCE2 Certification. Minimum 5 years experience in the fields of IT Project Management. Be comfortable and knowledgeable across standard technology stacks, with particular focus on Microsoft dynamics, data warehousing, BI dashboard development and data engineering technology. Proven experience in project management, with a focus on technical projects related to data migration, BI development, infrastructure, interfaces, and market interaction technologies. Experience managing multiple project/work track schedules including interdependencies. Strong ability to multi-task and successfully coordinate multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to prioritise activities effectively, while ensuring a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft technology stack. Excellent process driven and organisational skills including attention to detail, time management and multi-tasking. Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams and step in to have difficult conversations if and when required. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Ability to be self-motivated, recognise problems, be decisive and deliver solutions. Ability to work as part of a team in both team member and leadership roles.
