Key Responsibilities
Deliver daily personal care and support to service users with daily living, social, and life skills.
Assist service users with budgeting, finances, and household tasks, encouraging participation.
Administer prescribed medication and maintain accurate records.
Facilitate leisure and community activities tailored to residents’ needs.
Ensure health, safety, and emergency procedures are followed.
Support, develop, and supervise staff under the direction of the Person in Charge.
Maintain effective communication with residents, families, colleagues, and stakeholders.
Uphold the Foundation’s policies, procedures, and commitment to confidentiality and advocacy.
Qualifications & Experience
HETAC Accredited Diploma/Degree in Social Care or a qualification in Nursing (RNID) or eligibility for registration under the standards of proficiency for CORU registration (www.coru.ie/social-care-workers).
Experience managing behaviour which challenges.
Experience with adults and children with intellectual disabilities.
Ability to work independently and supervise service users/staff in a residential setting.
Full driver’s licence (desirable).
