Hygiene Manager Newry Salary: Up to £40k DOE Hours: 7:30am3:30pm, with occasional evening/night work for audits or training. Job Purpose Lead and manage site hygiene to ensure all areas meet food safety, GMP, audit, and company standards. Oversee the hygiene team, cleaning schedules, chemical use, and maintain a safe, compliant, audit ready site. Key Responsibilities Manage and maintain site hygiene schedules. Ensure all routine, deep, and post maintenance cleans meet required standards. Update hygiene procedures, SSOWs, and documentation. Carry out daily checks and ensure prompt corrective actions. Keep the site audit ready and support internal, customer, and third-party audits. Oversee safe chemical handling and COSHH compliance. Lead, train, and develop the Hygiene Team; manage rotas and labour planning. Conduct GMP audits, hygiene inspections, and environmental checks. Work with Technical to maintain food safety standards. Essential Criteria Minimum 2 years as Hygiene Supervisor/Manager in food manufacturing. Strong knowledge of hygiene systems, COSHH, food safety, allergens, and GMP. Good communication, organisation, and record-keeping skills. Experience in RCA and implementing corrective actions. Able to perform manual tasks and operate hygiene equipment safely.
