IT Operations is responsible for all operational run activities across Applications, Service Management and Infrastructure.The IT Infrastructure team is responsible for IT infrastructure services to the business across a wide range of functions including maintenance of existing systems and IT infrastructure, release management, configuration management, IT disaster recovery, vendor management, security infrastructure management, IT standards compliance and quality assurance. The team guide resources, facilitate team demand management and capacity planning, and manage the seqUÉncing and operational interdependencies of all IT Operations related initiatives. The infrastructure team also manages the data centres and IT infrastructure for UÉ, including IT availability and IT continuity.Reporting to the Cloud Team Lead, the Cloud security and Identity analyst will be have a particular focus on identify and access management across Uisce Éireann's multi-cloud environment, with responsibilities for supporting the day to day operational IT Cloud Operations, Infrastructure and Cloud Services in Uisce Éireann, as well as collaborating on the transition of new or enhanced cloud services from projects into operations. The Cloud Security and Identity Analyst will also support the security of the UÉ environment through effective use of conditional policies, security groups and other available access control mechanisms.Main Duties and Responsibilities:Support, and if necessary, perform the implementation, configuration, tuning and administration of identity and access controls in business critical and complex Cloud Infrastructure (storage, network, compute, Cloud identity, and O365)Work on the resolution of Incidents and Problems aligned with internal ITL standardsSupport, and if necessary, perform Operating System implementation, configuration, tuning, monitoring and administration to ensure a secure and resilient environment.Support, and if necessary, perform Cloud implementation, configuration, tuning, monitoring and administration of Development, Test and Production environments, with a particular focus on ensuring effective implementation and management of security and identity controls (IAM).Involvement in the design, architecture, build and testing of new systems for both business as usual and project initiatives, bringing a security and identity management perspective to bear on such architectures.Secondment to IT project teams as necessary and engagement with the Design & Strategy, Build & Delivery, Business Change teams to support the effective design and development of new cloud systems and applications.Involvement in the interaction with and management of multiple external vendors, contractors and IT Managed Service providersInvolvement in software version management and currency and patching of various operating systems and related infrastructure softwareCreate and update documentation including build documents, diagrams, DR processes and run books.Involvement in Disaster Recovery planning and exercises and execution if requiredKeep abreast of industry trends and undertake technical training to maintain skills currencyProvide out-of-hours cover as part of the Standby Rota and participate in out of hours work as required.Other duties as required from time to time.General Duties and Responsibilities:Collaboration with key internal stakeholders across the UÉ business, including but not limited to;IT Teams, notably Cyber Security, Service Management and Build & Delivery.Project stakeholders across the business as required.Responsible for promoting and delivering health and safety commitments across UÉ and its supply chain, reinforcing positive behaviours and delivering health and safety objectives and requirements to the highest industry standards.Support the delivery of the Uisce Éireann Transformation Programme, driving results required within the Directorate and supporting organisation-wide objectives.Conducts duties and responsibilities in accordance with Uisce Éireann's Information Security policies, standards, processes and controls to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of UÉ business information and delivery of critical services, in accordance with the NIS Directive and any other relevant cybersecurity regulation.Other duties as required.Knowledge, Skills and Experience:Certification in Microsoft Azure highly desirable.Understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM), Conditional Policies & RBAC Roles is highly desirable.Experience with Oracle Cloud infrastructure is highly desirableSkills in Cloud Native network security groups, Cloud Native Security Posture Management, Vnets & ASC is desirable.Knowledge and understanding of WAF, Secure Storage, MFA and Key Management is desirable.Windows Operating system/Exchange/VMware experience is desirable.Relevant third level qualification and or accreditation is desirableA minimum of 3 years' experience in the water, utilities or similar industries is desirable and or relevant experienceAbility to develop and maintain effective partnerships with key stakeholders internally and externallyProven track record with dealing with complex issues, proactively and in a timely fashion along with the ability to communicate information to othersHighly motivated individual, working to the highest professional standards and with proven ability to deliver results within a team.Strong analytical skills and ability to identify and analyse problems and potential improvements, and propose and implement solutionsDemonstrate adaptability and the ability to change focus and direction in line with business strategy and requirementsProactively identifying new areas of improvement and using newly gained knowledge and skill on the job.
