Job Title: Orthopaedic Nurse
Cork, Ireland is seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Orthopaedic Nurse in our General Orthopaedic clinics. This position offers the opportunity to work with specialist orthopaedic nursing knowledge and skills to enhance patient outcomes and support service delivery.

This senior clinical role involves promoting best practice, contributing to continuous improvement, and supporting colleagues within a multidisciplinary team. You will help drive departmental success through effective communication, collaboration, and commitment to high standards of patient care.
Key Responsibilities
* Audit and identify orthopaedic/surgical candidates for pre-admission and post-discharge, ensuring safe discharge planning and referral processes.
* Serve as a key resource for orthopaedic patients attending other departments or external services.
* Deliver patient education in both clinical and outpatient settings.
* Support the development and maintenance of accurate records for arthroplasty cases in line with national standards.
* Collaborate with surgeons and the wider team to coordinate patient care effectively.
* Maintain clear, accurate, and confidential communication of patient information.
* Assist in the development and delivery of education, teaching, and training programmes for staff.
Candidate Requirements
* Current registration with NMBI.
* Higher Diploma in Orthopaedic Nursing (desirable).
* Minimum 5 years' post-registration experience in orthopaedics.
* Strong commitment to patient safety and quality care.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
* Ability to work independently with strong initiative and self-motivation.
