Circular Bioeconomy Education Centre Programme Manager (Kerry Campus)
The Circular Bioeconomy Education Centre (CBEC) is a collaborative initiative funded by the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine. The centre will provide a coordinated approach to integrating the bioeconomy into all levels of Irish education, from primary to university level.
CBEC Ireland aims to establish a bio-based education, training and skills network, developing a National Education and Upskilling roadmap for the bioeconomy. This roadmap will identify current education and skills gaps and propose targeted interventions.
Key Responsibilities
* Establish and manage the Circular Bioeconomy Education Centre
* Map and assess current bioeconomy trends and upskilling needs across Ireland
* Pilot and implement transformational initiatives in schools, primary producers and biobased industries
* Develop a national education and upskilling roadmap for the bioeconomy
* Facilitate knowledge transfer and project management and coordination
This senior appointment requires a highly skilled and experienced individual with expertise in programme management, stakeholder engagement and a passion for sustainability.
Duties and responsibilities include:
* Leading the creation and development of a national network focused on bioeconomy education, training and skills
* Engaging key stakeholders across government, industry, academia and training organisations
* MAPPING AND ASSESSMENT OF BIOECONOMY TRENDS AND UPSKILLING NEEDS
* Piloting and implementing transformative educational and training initiatives
* Development of a comprehensive national roadmap outlining the strategy for bioeconomy education and upskilling
* Knowledge transfer activities to facilitate best practices, research findings and new knowledge to stakeholders
* Project management and coordination of all bioeconomy education-related projects
Applicants must have a strong background or third-level qualification in bioeconomy, environmental science or a related field, proven experience in project management and excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
A salary of €53,770 - €58,479 per annum is offered, with ongoing national visits required to collaborate with academic partners.
This post is based at Munster Technological University Kerry Campus, with citizenship eligibility open to EEA nationals or non-EEA nationals with a valid work permit.
