An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our state-of-the-art single-use facility in Dunboyne as a Manufacturing Biotech Associate.
In this key role, you'll be part of a self-directed team within Downstream Operations, contributing directly to the manufacture of high-quality Drug Substance — helping us deliver life-changing medicines to patients worldwide.
As a Biotech Associate, you will execute automated, paperless manufacturing recipes to progress drug substance through cell culture, filtration, and purification steps. Working in a cutting-edge, single-use technology environment, you'll play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of Safety, Quality, GMP, and Right First Time principles.
You will also drive process improvements using Lean and Standard Work techniques, ensuring consistent delivery on key performance indicators.
Key Responsibilities
* Operate automated manufacturing systems (e.g. MES, DeltaV, SAP) to execute Downstream processes
* Optimise processing activities through continuous improvement and Lean methodologies (5S, Kanban, JIT)
* Collaborate closely with teammates and cross-functional colleagues to deliver on production goals
* Participate in shift handovers, Tier meetings, inspections, GEMBAs, and improvement projects
* Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with GMP and quality systems
* Troubleshoot and resolve process or equipment issues using root cause analysis
* Support departmental meetings and deputise as required
What You'll Bring
* Level 7 or higher qualification in Science, Engineering, or a technical discipline
* Experience in a GMP or regulated manufacturing environment (advantageous)
* Strong technical aptitude and desire to become an SME in Downstream processes
* Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills
* Flexible and proactive approach with ability to work 12-hour shifts (days/nights/weekends)
* Computer literacy with exposure to automated systems (MES, SAP, PROCAL, etc.)
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver on tight timelines
* Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing methodologies an advantage
