Job title: Regulatory Analyst/Specialist with Japanese, Thai or Vietnamese language skills

Overview of Role
The GRCT is responsible for monitoring global regulatory developments across a wide range of topics, from Product Safety to WEEE, RoHS, Chemicals, Circular Economy, Energy Efficiency, Climate Change, Sustainability, Environmental Health and Safety and many more. We work with the leading global companies in the Electronics, Textiles and Automotive industry.
The Regulatory Analyst/Specialist will serve as one of the Global Regulatory Compliance team’s experts responsible for regulatory research and analysis, writing detailed regulatory summaries and news comments, assisting with research in relation to customer queries, while working as part of an international team. You will be responsible for monitoring one or more Asian countries which may include Japan, Vietnam and/or Thailand providing an overview of the regulatory information and identifying essential details such as key requirements and upcoming compliance deadlines for our clients.
You will also have an opportunity to develop your subject matter expertise from a geographic, topic or sector specific perspective as you gain experience and knowledge in a particular area.
Responsibilities
KRA 1: Monitoring
* Monitor and track regulatory developments for specified countries;
* Own, maintain and enhance ‘Monitoring Issues’ for specific countries
KRA 2: Entry of Regulatory Information into C2P
* Enter regulatory and supporting sources into C2P, our online knowledge management system.
* Draft clear, well written, accurate legal summaries on key details in legal texts, underpinned with an appreciation of clients’ needs and products
KRA 3: Research
* Conduct research in response to customer queries
* Liaise with R&D team in researching new content areas
KRA 4: Subject Matter Expert
* Opportunity to become a primary and/or secondary Subject Matter Expert for a specific country, region, regulatory topic or industry sector.
* Assist in the drafting of high quality and timely news updates, whitepapers, webinars to be published in our C2P platform, website or on C&R social media concerning regulatory developments.
* Willingness to participate in and present at online webinars, customer calls and meetings, in-person conferences.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
* Degree in Law / Business / Informational Science or Library science or equivalent.
* Strong regulatory research and analytical skills.
* Postgraduate or Masters desirable but not essential.
* Proficient in both spoken and written English and native Japanese, Thai or Vietnamese speaker.
* Strong communication, presentation, public speaking and writing skills.
* Experience of environmental/product compliance regulations desirable.
* Experience using AI for research purposes.
