Job Description
Oversee cleaning operations, manage staff, maintain health and safety standards, and control budgets and inventory to ensure a high level of cleanliness and hygiene in a facility. Key responsibilities include creating cleaning schedules, training and motivating staff, monitoring performance, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and liaising with clients and other departments.
Key Responsibilities
Staff Management:
* Recruit, train, and supervise cleaning staff, conduct performance appraisals, and manage attendance.
Operational Oversight:
* Develop and implement cleaning procedures and schedules, monitor the cleanliness of facilities, and ensure equipment is maintained.
Health & Safety:
* Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies, including conducting risk assessments and handling incidents.
* Support the implementation, operation and continuous improvement of our HSEQ Management Systems at site level.
* Manage non-conformances and complaints and record centrally.
* Cascade relevant HSEQ information to your direct reports and front-line employees.
* Support the business by delivering services that meet the needs and expectations of our customers in accordance with ISO Standards and Company values.
Resource Management:
* Manage cleaning supplies, equipment, and budgets, focusing on cost-effectiveness and inventory control.
Client & Stakeholder Relations:
* Liaise with clients and other departments to understand needs, resolve issues, and ensure contractual obligations are met.
Quality Assurance:
* Conduct audits and inspections to uphold cleaning standards and identify areas for improvement.
* Required Skills & Knowledge
Leadership & Management:
* Strong ability to lead, motivate, and manage teams effectively.
Technical Expertise:
* In-depth knowledge of cleaning procedures, protocols, and health and safety regulations.
Organizational Skills:
* Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time, and handle operational efficiency.
Financial & Budget Management:
* Skills in managing budgets, controlling expenses, and managing stock.
Communication & Problem-Solving:
* Good problem-solving skills and the ability to maintain effective relationships with clients and staff
Training
* Partake in basic induction training for new staff
* Partake in ongoing training on site
* Cooperate with safe working practices (manual handling/safe use of chemicals etc)
HSEQ
* Read, understand and work in accordance with the company's HSEQ Policies.
* Complete tasks in accordance with company HSEQ procedures and work instructions
* Ensure safe work practices and procedures are followed on site
* Use of Personal Protective Clothing and Equipment
