Responsibilities
Build strong, trusting relationships with children and young people
Deliver individualised, trauma informed care that prioritises the needs and wellbeing of each young person
Participate in training, reflective practice and supervision to support professional development and service improvement
Contribute to household tasks such as cleaning, cooking, medication administration, and creating a welcoming and homely environment
Maintain professional and strong communication with families, schools and external agencies
Follow all safeguarding and child protection requirements ensuring compliance with legislation and policies and procedures
Implement and deliver behavioural support plans, risk assessments and key working sessions to promote safety and positive outcomes
Manage petty cash in accordance with financial guidelines and organisational procedures
Criteria
Essential:
Minimum Level 7 qualification in Social Care or equivalent
EU & EEA candidates fully eligible to work in Ireland
Desirable:
One year experience of working in a residential setting is preferable
Full Clean Category B license
All applicants must be CORU registered or have their application submitted.
Salary: Pay Scales are commensurate with postgraduate experience €42,000 – €50,000 (inclusive of sleepover allowance) plus premium pay for Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays
