About The Role
The Export Market Service Owner will be based at our St. James's Gate, Dublin location and will play a critical cross-functional role, providing flexibility to focus on the right customers, products, and processes at the right time.
You will build and maintain strong relationships with customers across global markets, production sites, and third-party freight service suppliers, representing the customer within Diageo and ensuring their needs are consistently met. This role requires excellent influencing and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build trust, collaborate as a team player, and operate independently when required. You will resolve conflicts constructively, support colleagues, and apply rational, logical problem-solving approaches. You will also identify opportunities to challenge current ways of working, striving for simpler, faster, better solutions, and sharing these improvements with the wider team.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Customer Service Team Leader, the Export Market Service Owner is responsible for the full order-to-cash process in line with CARM principles and serves as the first point of contact for all customer issues. This includes:
 * Representing the customer on product change projects, QIR processes, and order prioritisation during supply constraints.
 * Ensuring timely updates and resolution of all customer service issues.
 * Handling export customs processes and systems, including relevant KPIs and reporting.
 * Collaborating closely with shipping lines to ensure on-time, in-full (OTIF) delivery to customers.
Key Responsibilities
 * Develop and maintain effective working relationships with market personnel and service providers to ensure market requirements are met in line with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Partnership Agreements.
 * Demonstrate a strong understanding of market complexities and products, resolving all export issues while maintaining full administration processes (OTC, SMR, SAP & SAP Customer Data, C&E, Pricing).
 * Manage and deliver all Customer Service KPIs for assigned markets.
 * Through the QIR process, manage the interface between the customer and Quality department for market quality issues, coordinating timely resolution with Quality and production facilities.
 * Ensure compliance with Diageo policies and regulations (CARM, CT-PAT, H&S, etc.).
 * Manage all freight processes to select appropriate services at optimal cost and identify any special pre-shipment requirements.
About You
We're looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment and has the skills and experience to handle exports, logistics and customer service with confidence and professionalism.
Within The Successful Candidate We Are Ideally Looking For
 * Educated to Leaving Certificate standard or equivalent, with 3rd level qualifications a plus, or equivalent experience in a customer service or shipping environment.
 * Experience in exports, freight documentation and terminology.
 * Strong customer relationship and supplier/vendor management skills.
 * High competency in SAP, Excel, Word, and other relevant systems.
 * Knowledge of Customs & Excise requirements, market-specific legislation, and international shipping documentation.
 * Understanding of International Trade processes and compliance requirements.
 * Customer-service oriented with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
 * Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when needed.
 * Strong problem-solving skills, logical thinking, and attention to detail.
 * Experience or understanding of Supply Chain processes, including planning, replenishment, make-to-order fulfilment, manufacturing, and materials/services supply, is desirable.
