We are currently recruiting a full-time AML Officer who will support the day-to-day needs of our AML Officer position will support the Risk function within Ballina Credit Union. The purpose of this position is to support the Credit Union Risk, Compliance, and Anti Money Laundering work plans in fulfilling the credit union regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will report directly to Senior Management. The successful candidate will carry out a range of activities in line with the operational requirements of the Credit Union. Monitor and review all aspects of the anti-money laundering process Manage transaction monitoring processes, including the suspicious transaction reporting process Ensure that all staff are adhering to the STR, KYC, and CDD processes Conduct assurance testing of key processes Review and action potential fraudulent transactions Assist with the review and update of policy, procedures and work plans to reflect changes to the business model and in line with all up-to-date legislation Assist with risk assessments as required by the business Work as part of the Risk team on initiatives Monitor training to ensure all officers complete appropriate anti money laundering training Prepare monthly reports on activities completed Support the wider team on projects as they arise Maintain knowledge and expertise on AML/CFT The above list of roles and responsibilities is not exhaustive and may be subject to change in line with the needs of the business.
