Part-Time Office Assistant – Technical Report Writing
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organised part-time Office Assistant to join our team in Celbridge, Co. Kildare. This role focuses on supporting our on-site testing operators by creating high-quality technical reports and managing related administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and the Microsoft Office Suite, as well as the ability to work with specialist technical software to produce and format serialised reports for various clients.
This is an excellent opportunity to work with an established company in the new build and retrofit construction sectors, with full training and support provided during an initial 6-week trial period.
Responsibilities and Duties
* Prepare accurate and well-structured technical reports based on information provided by on-site testing teams.
* Use specialist technical software to compile, format, and serialise reports.
* Upload finalised reports to client-specific online platforms.
* Maintain report templates, document records, and filing systems.
* Liaise with on-site staff to clarify and confirm test results where required.
* Ensure all reports meet company quality standards and client requirements.
Qualifications and Skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
* High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
* Ability to quickly learn and work with technical software.
* Good organisational and time management skills.
* Knowledge of construction, building materials, or building services is an advantage but not essential.
* Previous experience in technical report writing is desirable.
* Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills.
Additional Information
* Part-time role, hours to be agreed (within standard office hours 08:30–17:00, Mon–Fri).
