Mid-Level Network Engineer CCNP
This is an opportunity for a Security or IP routing and switching engineer with CCNP or Fortinet Certified Professional certification and relevant experience to join a successful Systems Integrator delivering IP Services to many enterprise customers in Ireland.
You will take full ownership of projects related to designing and delivering customer core networks and customer-facing networks. Additionally, this role requires support for Enterprise organisations with Cisco and Fortinet Infrastructures.
You will be responsible for escalating issues from junior team members and incidents to vendor partners for technical assistance and troubleshooting. The Network Operating Centre (NOC) is located in Dublin, where we remotely manage our customer base through secure remote access to their infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
• Design and deliver technical solutions to customers in Cisco and Fortinet networking and security environments
• Implement design plans into the infrastructure according to business and technical requirements
• Troubleshoot technical issues and develop solutions during project delivery
• Communicate proactively with personnel to identify problems, create solutions, and implement efficiency improvements
• Manage projects with top-down oversight to ensure success as defined by adherence to standards of scope, budget, and timeline
• Coordinate with stakeholders and technical personnel during all project phases
• Monitor project progress and make scheduled reports on measurable items
• Review proposed modifications on project plans and implement beneficial changes
• Provide 2nd and 3rd level support for reported incidents and liaise with manufacturer TAC support teams
Key Skills & Experience required:
• Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Experience troubleshooting technical incidents in Cisco and/or Fortinet environments
• Cisco ISE, Firepower, Wireless, and DNAC experience
• Cisco Routing and Switching experience
• Fortinet Fortigate, Forti Manager, Fortianalyzer experience
• Cisco CCNP and/or Fortinet FCSS qualifications requirement
• Previous experience delivering networking and security solutions to customers in Cisco and Fortinet environments
• Familiarity with common routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and ISIS
• Familiarity with MPLS technologies (both Layer 2 and Layer 3 VPN)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable interacting with customers/other departments and management
• Excellent MS Office skills
