About the Role
As an R&D Engineer, you will play a crucial part in developing innovative solutions for medical interventions. You’ll be involved in designing, testing, and improving products while adhering to international standards and regulations. This is a great opportunity to further your career in the medical device industry, working closely with cross-functional teams to drive excellence in product development.
Key Responsibilities
As an R&D Engineer, you will:
* Design, develop, and provide technical input to R&D projects following ISO13485 and FDA 21 CFR 820 regulations.
* Lead packaging development and testing for new and existing products.
* Develop, document, and validate test methods and train relevant teams.
* Support manufacturing processes using DFSS and DFM principles.
* Analyse and summarise test data, presenting findings to project leaders.
* Apply Six Sigma and other problem-solving techniques to improve product design.
* Collaborate with the QA department to develop test, verification, and validation procedures.
* Manage documentation, protocols, and reporting for R&D tasks, keeping stakeholders informed.
Essential Requirements
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Biomedical, OR a related scientific discipline.
* At least 1 year of experience as an R&D Engineer in the medical device industry.
* Strong knowledge of biomechanics, mechanical design, and analysis.
