DATA PROTECTION PARALEGAL

Meet the team
We are responsible for engaging with all staff throughout the organisation, members of the public, the Data Protection Commission, and other third parties.
We are looking for a Data Protection Paralegal to advise RTÉ and staff of their obligations under data protection law, monitor compliance with data protection law and with internal policies, advise on data protection impact assessments, and co-operate with / act as the contact point to the Data Protection Commission.
Reporting to the Data Protection Officer, you will:
* Assist in the implementation of Data Protection projects, policies and procedures.
* Assist in the preparation of advice on Data Protection and AI matters.
* Complete records of processing activities (‘ROPAs’), data protection impact assessments (‘DPIAs’), legitimate interest assessments (‘LIAs’) and transfer impact assessments (‘TIAs’).
* Review, update and draft contracts with third parties; and
* Conduct horizon scanning, carrying out legal research and distilling insights for the benefit of the Data Protection Office.

* Conduct internal training session on matters relating to Data Protection.

* Expertise in the MS Office suite.

Nice to have
* Experience of working in an office environment.
* Experience with CMPs such as OneTrust, Sourcepoint etc.

This appointment will be made at the Administrative Grade 2 level and is being offered on a full-time ongoing basis. The salary scale for this grade is from €35,757 to €49,901 gross per annum.
