Overview
Vision Built is seeking a Project Planner to lead the planning management function. The ideal candidate will set the standard for planning and project controls and regularly review the function during preconstruction and construction phases.
The role involves developing a consistent approach and producing regular reports to feedback on progress and performance to the group board.
Vision Built's head offices are located in Tubbercurry, Sligo, and Oranmore, Galway. The position offers the option to work from either location for the right candidate.
Note: There will be travel involved with this position.
Responsibilities
* Lead in developing the baseline contract programme, covering design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover, with all elements fully logic linked and including a critical path.
* Lead in preparing a construction (target) programme highlighting areas for improvement against the contract programme.
* Prepare tender event programmes for subcontractor procurement, including design release and lead-in activities.
* Maintain electronic files and administer planning and programme documents using the common data environment (CDE).
* Provide programme information to support the management team as required.
* Develop a 4D graphical model or 2D phasing plans to represent build sequences, phasing, and logistics.
* Use the construction programme to produce or assist in producing project prelim books, including staff resources, logistics, and temporary works requirements.
* Engage with the supply chain to develop the project programme concerning design, lead-ins, construction periods, plant, and labour requirements.
* Review risks and opportunities for each programme, highlighting potential mitigation measures, including float and time risk allowances.
Experience
* Advanced training in construction project management software, including progress analysis and s-curve reporting, managing costs and resources.
* Advanced Primavera P6 training for managing costs and resources.
* Training in managing people.
* Advanced understanding of contracts, including JCT and NEC forms.
Qualifications
* Relevant degree or diploma.
* Qualifications in construction management.
* Certification in planning and programme software.
* Membership of relevant professional bodies, where applicable.
