We're looking for an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead delivery across our Product Engineering teams as we continue to scale our platform and enhance our product capabilities. This is a hands‑on leadership role where you'll manage engineers and drive project delivery whilst contributing to technical decision‑making and architecture.
As a key partner to the Director of Engineering, you'll play a strategic role coordinating across teams, helping to shape engineering practices, technical direction and delivery across the organisation. You'll work with a modern technology stack including Go microservices, cloud infrastructure, and integrations with leading contact centre platforms, tackling challenging technical problems at scale from AI‑powered analytics to complex data processing pipelines.

You'll work closely with Product Management and cross‑functional teams, with the scope to grow into broader responsibilities as the company scales.
Job requirements – Required
* 5+ years in software engineering with at least 2 years managing engineering teams
* Proven track record of management experience
* Proven track record of delivering complex SaaS products at scale
* Strong technical background in modern software development practices and architecture
* Strong project management skills with experience coordinating complex technical initiatives across multiple teams
* Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems
* Hands‑on experience with cloud infrastructure and deployment practices
* Proficiency with relational and NoSQL databases in production environments
* Understanding of RESTful API development and integration patterns
* Experience managing the full software development lifecycle
* Strong ability to balance technical quality with pragmatic delivery
* Demonstrated experience in hiring, mentoring and developing engineering talent
* Experience with Agile development methodologies and leading cross‑functional collaboration
* Track record of fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement
* Excellent communication skills, able to work effectively with technical and non‑technical stakeholders
Job requirements – Nice To Have
* Experience with Go and Python
* Familiarity with MongoDB, Redis or MySQL at scale
* Background in building or integrating with contact centre platforms (Genesys, Zendesk, Intercom, etc.)
* Experience with AI/ML systems or analytics platforms
* Knowledge of quality management or customer experience software
* Track record of managing technical migrations or modernisation projects
* Experience with platform engineering practices and infrastructure as code
Education & Qualifications
* BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience
* Management or leadership qualification is beneficial but not essential, provided a track record of management experience is evidenced
Job responsibilities
* Lead and develop engineers across Product Engineering teams, fostering a culture of technical excellence, collaboration and continuous improvement.
* Drive technical delivery across multiple projects and initiatives, ensuring quality, performance and scalability of the platform.
* Manage technical projects from initiation through delivery, coordinating resources across teams, managing timelines and dependencies, and ensuring clear communication with stakeholders.
* Collaborate with engineering leadership to shape technical strategy and architecture decisions.
* Work closely with Product Management to translate business requirements into technical solutions and delivery plans.
* Oversee code quality, testing practices and deployment processes across your areas of responsibility.
* Contribute to hiring, onboarding and developing engineering talent.
* Partner with Customer Engineering and Platform Engineering to ensure smooth delivery of customer‑facing features, integrations and platform capabilities.
