Employment Type: Specified Purpose Contract, expected to run until at least September 2027NOVAS is a Registered Charity and Approved Housing Body working with single adults, couples, and families who are experiencing homelessness or are at risk of homelessness. Established in Limerick in 2002, the organisation now employs approximately 300 staff and operates more than 30 services across Limerick, Dublin, Clare, Kerry, Cork, and Tipperary. Services include emergency accommodation, transitional housing, homelessness prevention, tenancy sustainment, mental health supports, and recovery-focused services. NOVAS is a Trauma Informed Practice Organisation, with collaboration, respect, diversity, and trust embedded within its approach to both service delivery and internal working relationships.The RoleThe Fundraising Officer will support a broad range of fundraising and donor engagement activities, including:Supporting community donors, volunteers, schools, sponsored participants, and corporate partnersAssisting with fundraising campaigns and eventsSupporting donor stewardship activities including calls, visits, receipting, record keeping, and follow-upMaintaining donor records and fundraising data accuratelyAssisting with grant applications and prospect researchSupporting corporate volunteering activities and fundraising partnershipsAssisting with the delivery of the annual Christmas campaign and Sleep Out initiativeCreating and posting fundraising-related social media contentWorking with service managers to identify fundraising needs across the organisationThe role will involve some travel and occasional evening or weekend work.Person SpecificationCandidates should be able to demonstrate:Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple prioritiesGood written and verbal communication skillsConfidence engaging with supporters, volunteers, and community groupsExperience facilitating presentations or public engagement activitiesA flexible and collaborative approach to workThe following would be advantageous:Experience in the charity or not-for-profit sectorExperience using donor databases such as SalesforceKnowledge of fundraising best practice and GDPR requirements in IrelandA relevant third-level qualificationA full driver’s licence and access to a carBenefits26 days annual leave plus public holidaysEmployee Assistance ProgrammeFunded training and professional developmentSupport for further educationEnhanced maternity leaveRegular supervision and support structuresApplicationsTo apply, please submit your CV.
