**Role Description
We are seeking a talented Senior Full Stack Python Software Engineer to work on a new data lineage reporting project. As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and delivering software to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities include ensuring that software is developed to meet functional and non-functional requirements. You will refine stories, code solutions, build unit tests, and ensure that solutions can be integrated successfully into the overall application.
You will work closely with business users, business analysts, and development team colleagues to build best-in-class solutions.

**Responsibilities
1. Develop efficient back-end features in Python.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
3. Write clean, efficient, and reusable code following coding standards and best practices.
4. Collaborate with UX/UI designers to implement design into the code.
5. Implement software enhancements and suggest improvements.
6. Provide technical leadership and guidance to Junior Developers.
7. Optimize application performance by identifying and resolving bottlenecks and implementing efficient algorithms.
**Skills Required
1. Strong proficiency in Python programming language, including its syntax, data structures, and object-oriented concepts.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience programming with Python is essential for this role, preferably on enterprise-level applications.
3. Experience with Python frameworks (SQLAlchemy, Django, Flask, Bottle).
4. Good relational database/SQL experience e.g., PostgreSQL and MySQL or SQL Server.
5. A basic knowledge of JavaScript & Typescript using Angular.
6. Experience in performance optimization techniques including profiling, caching, and code refactoring.
7. Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, including unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing.
8. Knowledge of NoSQL databases and Graph databases is strongly preferred.
**Nice to Haves
1. Solid Linux/UNIX experience.
2. Familiarity with testing frameworks for Python applications such as Selenium or Pytest.
3. Knowledge of Openshift, Kubernetes, and cloud-native applications is a major plus.
4. Familiarity with integrating services such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) and REST API.
5. Experience with CI/CD tools such as Git, Jenkins, Artifactory, Ansible.
6. Proficiency in working in an Agile project management environment.
7. Building and deploying Microservices in Python.
8. Experience working within the financial domain.
