Health and Safety - Concrete Products & Aggregates Division (Dublin Region)
An exciting opportunity to join Ireland's leading independent manufacturer of concrete and bituminous construction materials. We are currently looking for a Health & Safety Advisor for our CP&A Division to be primarily based out of our headquarters at Piercetown, Dunboyne, Co. Meath but covering site locations in the Dublin Area. The successful candidate will proactively manage health, safety, and welfare to ensure statutory compliance and best safe working practices in our Concrete Products & Aggregates Division and further operations as required. The ideal candidate will possess a Health & Safety qualification (i.e. NEBOSH or the equivalent), and have instructor/trainer qualifications (i.e. First Aid/manual handling).

Responsibilities
* Report into the Group H&S Manager.
* Proactively champion the health and safety function across sites, ensure safe working practices are adopted across the Concrete Products & Aggregates Division.
* Promote a culture of EHS excellence and provide high-quality EHS technical knowledge and reinforce safety on-site by providing/promoting employee awareness/training on matters of environmental, health, and safety.
* Monitor legislative updates, ensuring necessary changes are applied promptly.
* Develop and recommend safety standards and procedures in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
* Regularly review and update Risk Assessments, Safe Operating Procedures, and Safety Statement, and communicate any updates across site.
* Set up, monitor, and coordinate Safety Induction Training for all new employees and sub-contractors and maintain documentary evidence of same.
* Assist the Health & Safety Team and Associate Directors in the CP&A business on various projects to improve processes and reduce the overall health and safety risk of the workforce.
* Assist all Managers with training needs e.g. Manual Handling, Forklift Training, Emergency Response Training, etc.
* Develop Emergency, Evacuation and Traffic Management Plans for site.
* Carry out Safety Inspections and Audits.
* Record, report, and carry out incident investigations and promptly and effectively ensure that corrective actions are implemented.
* Identify new and ongoing safety related training requirements, ensuring all mandatory training is reviewed and delivered on time.
* Ensure that correct PPE is always availed of by all relevant employees.
* Review sub-contractors' Health & Safety systems and procedures, prior to works commencing and ensure they conform to their health & safety standards and Kilsaran's standards.
* Assist with maintaining and sustaining ISO Standards across the business.
* Facilitate the monthly Health & Safety team meetings for Concrete Products & Aggregates Division.
* Demonstrate a lead by example approach to all aspects of Health & Safety, be fully compliant with Company Health & Safety policies, procedures, systems, and rules.
Skills & Qualifications
* Third level Health & Safety & Environmental qualification or equivalent.
* 5+ years' experience in a Health & Safety based role in the Manufacturing or Construction Industry is essential.
* A background in Mechanical & Electrical is hugely beneficial.
* Excellent knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental legislations and regulations.
* Ability to operate in a high paced environment and drive continuous improvement.
* Strong IT / Administration Skills.
* Manual Handling Instructor and First Aid trained.
* Safe Pass and Full, Clean Driver's Licence.
