Job Title: Safety Assurance Specialist
Foster a proactive safety culture by identifying and mitigating health and safety risks across multiple locations.
* Risk Management:
o Risk identification and review processes are essential for ensuring the well-being of employees and visitors. This involves conducting regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards.
* H&S Management System:
o A H&S management system is crucial for maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. This includes implementing and maintaining procedures for incident reporting, training, and auditing.
* Compliance & Audits:
o Maintaining full compliance with company policies and regulatory frameworks is vital for ensuring the continued success of the organization. This involves overseeing the development of site-specific safety statements and conducting regular audits to ensure adherence to established standards.
* Incident Management:
o Leading incident investigations is critical for determining root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence. This includes analyzing data, identifying contributing factors, and developing strategies to mitigate future risks.
* Training:
o Organizing and delivering H&S training is essential for ensuring employee competency and compliance with legal requirements. This includes developing and delivering toolbox talks, providing training on new equipment and procedures, and assessing employee understanding through quizzes and assessments.
* Safety Culture:
o Promoting a strong safety culture requires increased awareness and engagement from employees at all levels. This involves promoting a positive safety attitude, encouraging open communication, and recognizing and rewarding safe behaviors.
* Documentation:
o Managing H&S documentation, including inspection records and training logs, is critical for maintaining accurate records and reporting on key metrics and non-compliances.
* Emergency Preparedness:

Key Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field
* Proven experience in health and safety management, preferably in a similar role
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Able to work independently and as part of a team
