Role Overview:
We are seeking an accomplished oncology nurse to collaborate with our multidisciplinary team in delivering exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
* Stay up-to-date on the hospital's and department of health's policies and guidelines for safe cytotoxic preparation administration.
* Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure patients receiving chemotherapy have continued access to specialist care, expertise, and knowledge.
* Administer prescribed cytotoxic chemotherapy to oncology patients according to established protocols.
* Communicate effectively with patients regarding treatment and potential side effects, including providing written information as necessary.
Required Qualifications:
* Active NMBI PIN and listing on the general division of the NMBI's registry of nurses.
* At least two years of experience working in an acute hospital setting, preferably with a focus on oncology.
* Demonstrated clinical and professional aptitude.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and medical systems.
* Interest in oncology and willingness to pursue relevant training when needed.
