General Summary
Qualcomm Cloud Edge in Cork is looking for Software Engineers to work on Linux-based platforms for Datacenter products.
The areas of focus are driver development, tools development, test development, software integration, and product commercialization.
The development target is Qualcomm's next generation high-performance inference accelerator.
Responsibilities include Test Development, feature development, software integration, functional and performance testing.
Please note this role will require 5 days per week onsite in our Cork office.
Required Skills and Aptitudes
Experience with Linux User-Space development in modern C/C++, API development and multi-threading synchronization mechanism.
Experience in UML design capture & analysis, OO design practices.
Understanding of Linux internals, kernel, drivers.
Knowledge of RTOS, SoC architecture (core, cache, memory, bus architecture, IOs, etc.) and common hardware blocks.
Experience with Source Code and Configuration management tools; Git knowledge is required.
Willingness to work in a structured software development environment with ability to work on low-level implementation (code & test).
Willingness to work in a high-caliber mixed hardware/software development team.
Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and positive interpersonal skills.
Desirable Skills and Aptitudes
2+ years of relevant experience.
Experience with Python.
Experience in unit testing tooling for C/C++ development, including gtest.
Exposure to middlewares, protocols and Cloud technologies.
Familiar with Analytics, AI technologies, machine learning models, methods and frameworks.
Familiar with Docker.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
