Payroll Implementation Consultant – 6-Month Fully Remote Contract

We are seeking an experienced
Functional Consultant
to join our team as a
Payroll Implementation Consultant
on a fully remote, 6-month contract. You will provide functional consultancy on payroll solution implementations within the designated country.

The consultant will be involved in the full project lifecycle, including client liaison, confirming requirements aligned with best practices, completing configuration documents and questionnaires, providing effective configuration and testing of the solution, and supporting go-live activities.

Key Responsibilities

* Act as the
client-facing functional lead
, supporting kick-off sessions and leading functional requirements discussions.
* Work with clients to capture payroll configuration information and finalize workbooks.
* Identify deviations from product and process standards.
* Collaborate with the product team to complete payroll solution configuration.
* Validate payroll solution and integrations during testing cycles.
* Perform data validations in the payroll system.
* Coordinate defect resolution with relevant teams.
* Provide knowledge transfer to application services for payroll solution maintenance.
* Contribute to and update the project plan.
* Support data mapping, data validations across systems, and issue resolution.
* Support integration issue resolution.
* Oversee UAT and parallel testing.
* Define and implement workarounds where required.
* Support and oversee knowledge transfer to Delivery and Operational Payroll teams.

Requirements

* Experience in a functional consulting/analytical role within payroll outsourcing or payroll software environments.
* Strong knowledge of
Irish payroll and compliance
(tax, legislation, etc.).
* Proven experience in the
Irish payroll implementation project lifecycle
.
* Strong client-facing communication skills, with the ability to articulate and document client requirements.
* Ability to find creative and simple solutions to client issues or risks.
* Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience interacting across all levels of business.
* Ability to propose alternative solutions while assessing feasibility and costs.
* Proactive, problem-solving mindset with strong attention to detail.
* Strong knowledge of MS Office tools including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
* Flexibility to support a global and fast-paced environment.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
