Job Overview: The Tax Manager will be responsible for overseeing the firm's tax advisory and compliance services, managing client relationships, and ensuring compliance with Irish tax regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, leadership capabilities, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage the firm’s tax services, including compliance and advisory functions.
2. Provide expert tax planning and consultancy services to a portfolio of clients.
3. Ensure compliance with Irish tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.
4. Oversee and review tax returns, VAT, corporate tax, income tax, and other tax filings.
5. Conduct research on complex tax matters and provide strategic tax advice.
6. Work closely with audit and accounting teams to support tax-related issues.
7. Manage client relationships and act as the primary point of contact for tax-related queries.
8. Liaise with Revenue Commissioners and other relevant authorities.
9. Identify tax-saving opportunities and risk management strategies for clients.
10. Mentor and train junior tax professionals within the firm.
11. Stay updated on tax legislation and industry developments.
Key Requirements:
1. Professional qualification (e.g., CTA, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) is essential.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax, preferably within a practice environment.
3. Strong knowledge of Irish tax laws and regulations.
4. Experience in corporate and personal tax planning and compliance.
5. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
6. Strong leadership and team management abilities.
7. Ability to work independently and manage multiple client engagements.
8. Proficient in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
