SHEQ Manager Job Description
As a SHEQ Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the health, safety, environmental, and quality of large-scale projects in Dublin. Your primary focus will be on monitoring compliance with statutory requirements and internal standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support Site Management in ensuring compliance with workplace safety legislation and company protocols.
* Monitor contractor and subcontractor compliance on-site, conducting audits and inspections.
* Assist in reviewing job-specific risk assessments and method statements.
* Identify safety concerns and work with site teams to implement practical solutions.
* Maintain accurate and current health & safety documentation.
* Act as a liaison for internal audits, external regulators, and third-party inspectors.
* Track and report on workplace accidents, hazards, and compliance metrics.
* Support the delivery of safety training, toolbox talks, and site inductions.
* Assist in planned fire, environmental, and emergency drills.
* Promote behavioural safety and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
* Support the maintenance of SHEQ systems in line with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001 standards.
Requirements:
* 4+ years' experience within a similar senior H&S role - Civil Engineering/Construction.
* Relevant Health and Safety qualifications (NEBOSH, etc).
* Strong experience with ISO standards and auditing.
* Experience with report writing, organisation or planning.
* IOSH membership.
* Good communication and people management skills.
* IT and numeracy skills (MS Office).
* Full clean driving license.
Desirable:
* Environmental or Quality certifications.
* NEBOSH Diploma.
