Job Opportunity
We are seeking skilled and experienced fabricators to fabricate a range of pipe arrangements to support our team of professional welders across multiple sites on day shifts.
As a fabricator and / or welder, the successful candidates will be required to be on site each day within the fabrication / welding facility in either Scarva 1 or Scarva 2, fabricating / welding pipe arrangements from our shop drawings.
The ability to produce some or all types of welds, i.e., TIG / MIG would be required.
We also offer the opportunity for the successful candidates to develop their skills to numerous welding disciplines and in-house welding procedures.
* To operate MIG/TIG or MMA welding equipment
* To read/interpret drawings.
* Fabricate pipe sets for various pipe diameters (typically carbon steel & stainless steel pipe ranging from 65mm - 500mm) from shop drawings.
* Use of metal cutting and grinding equipment
* Responsible for highlighting any faults or damage to the machine and its tooling
* Clean tools, equipment, and work areas
* Maintain a safe working environment
Essential Criteria:
* Previous experience of operating as a Fabricator or Welder, that preferably includes pipe fabrication.
* The ability to interpret welding procedure requirements.
* Able to use Shop floor hand tools like Grinders, Hand Plasmas etc.
* Confident in understanding shop fabrication and assembly drawings
Desired Criteria:
* Previous experience as a pipe fabricator, producing a wide range of pipe arrangements with either TIG/MAG and able to use MMA.
* Previous experience within a heavy fabrication, architectural steelwork or stainless steel / carbon welding environment.
