Job Opportunity
We are currently seeking a seasoned professional to assume the role of Project Manager. This position will involve overseeing various road maintenance contracts with Kerry and Cork County Councils.
The successful candidate will come equipped with a background in Civil Engineering, road servicing or quantity surveying and will be expected to manage all aspects of day-to-day operations, costs, crews and materials for each project.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee site operations on a daily basis
* Manage resources (labor, materials, equipment)
* Coordinate sub-contractors and suppliers
* Evaluate progress against project plans, specifications and schedules
* Monitor progress and provide updates to senior management
* Enforce health and safety protocols
* Conduct regular site inspections to address safety concerns
* Ensure quality standards are maintained and issues addressed
* Maximize productivity, minimize waste and track costs
* Liaise with clients, engineers and stakeholders
* Lead site meetings and collaborate on budget and cost control
Requirements:
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field
* At least 5 years of experience in construction management with a focus on road projects
* Strong proficiency in project management tools
