Job Description

The Social Care Worker will be responsible for providing residential and respite care to individuals with an intellectual disability in accordance with organisational policies and procedures.
\
This role involves working as part of a staff team to deliver high-quality care services that promote the wellbeing and empowerment of service users.
\
Key Responsibilities
\
* Act as Person in Charge in the absence of the Service Manager.
* Work positively and constructively with individuals who present with challenging behaviours.
* Teach specific skills to service users, including self-help, domestic, kitchen, community, leisure, and social skills.
* Administer, supervise, and record prescribed medication.
\
The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. A professional degree in Applied Social Studies or a relevant qualification is essential, along with CORU Registration or registration in progress.

Required Skills and Qualifications
\
* A professional degree (minimum level 7) in Applied Social Studies or a relevant qualification.
* CORU Registration or in the process of registration.
* Previous experience working with people with an intellectual disability or a similar field.
* Full current driving licence with access to your own vehicle.
